Personal Training & Recovery · Lake Orion, MI

Performance and recovery, side by side.

Coach Tiara at SheThrives builds the strength, training plan, and recovery stack. TPL handles the kinetic chain underneath. Together it covers the full athletic spectrum.

How this partnership started

Performance and recovery are two halves of the same plan, but they almost never live under the same roof. Most personal trainers can program a session. Most physical therapists can assess a joint. Very few do both well, and even fewer coordinate them so the active adult in the middle is not the one having to translate between coaches.

Coach Tiara built SheThrives around the bridge. Personal training that pays attention to how each woman is actually moving. InBody scans that give a real measurement of where lean mass, body fat, and segmental balance are sitting, not a generic scale number. And on-site near-infrared and red light therapy as part of the recovery stack — applied to the joint or tissue that is actually doing the work that day, not a one-size protocol.

TPL is the structural complement. When a training cycle keeps stalling because a hip is restricted, a shoulder will not press overhead, or a knee is flagging under the volume Coach Tiara has built up, we go upstream and find the actual cause — kinetic chain assessment, manual work, the RX2600 — instead of just deloading and hoping the issue resolves. The training plan stays on track because the underlying structure was fixed.

Who SheThrives serves

SheThrives runs out of O Town Gym in Lake Orion. That is Coach Tiara's training location — not a permanent storefront — so the practice runs by appointment, and clients meet her on the gym floor for one-on-one programming, InBody assessments, and recovery sessions.

The client base is active women across Oakland County. Lifters working through a body-composition goal. Runners and team-sport athletes who want a real strength program built around what their sport actually asks of the body. Postpartum women returning to training and wanting a coach who reads body composition data instead of a scale weight. Active adults who want their training, their measurement, and their recovery all coming from one coach who knows the whole picture.

What SheThrives offers

The work breaks into three pillars.

Personal training. Programs built off Coach Tiara's intake, the InBody data, and a movement-quality assessment. Strength is the floor; the program structure is built around the client's actual goals — body composition, athletic performance, postpartum return, lifelong durability.

InBody body-composition analysis. A bioelectrical-impedance scan that returns lean mass, body fat percentage, visceral fat, segmental lean mass per limb, and the trend over time. Not a scale weight. Not a body-fat caliper guess. Real measurement so the training plan is reacting to data, not a guess.

Red light therapy — two frequencies.

  • Near-infrared penetrates deeper into the tissue — muscle, fascia, joint capsule. The clinical literature points it at muscle recovery, joint health, and deeper cellular repair. SheThrives clients use it on the hip, shoulder, knee, or low back that took the most work that day.
  • Red light stays shallower — skin, surface tissue, surface inflammation. The use case is surface-level recovery and skin health, often as part of a wind-down stack after a hard session.

Used together inside the SheThrives recovery stack, the two frequencies cover the spectrum from skin and surface inflammation down through deeper muscle and joint tissue.

How we work together

The referral pattern runs both directions and the seam is specific.

SheThrives clients with structural issues come to us. Hip that locks up under squat volume. Shoulder that has lost overhead range. Knee pain that keeps flaring on running cycles. Postpartum tightness through the rib cage, neck, or low back that Coach Tiara needs addressed before she can build the next training block on top of it. We assess the kinetic chain, find the actual cause, and send the client back to Coach Tiara with a clear plan for what to load, what to avoid, and what to expect.

TPL patients who are ready to train again go to Coach Tiara. Active women who finished a course of treatment and want a coach who will read the discharge summary, look at the InBody, and program around it instead of treating the body like a blank slate. Postpartum women clearing the pelvic-floor and rib-mechanic work at TPL who want a women-specific training environment to step into. Active adults returning from injury who need strength rebuilt the right way.

Neither side oversells. If Coach Tiara sees a movement pattern she does not want to push past, the call comes to us. If we see a TPL patient ready to load heavier than we can program in a clinical setting, the call goes to her.

The partnership offer

SheThrives clients book the Complete Kinetic Chain Assessment for $79 instead of the standard $99 — a $20 discount on the entry visit. Same 60-minute assessment, same one-on-one with the Doctor of Physical Therapy, same RX2600 treatment included. Mention SheThrives when you book, or use the dedicated partner-referral link above.

Where the two protocols connect

Three windows where SheThrives + TPL together change the trajectory.

Body composition + kinetic chain together

Coach Tiara's InBody scan tells you what is happening in lean mass and body fat. TPL's Complete Kinetic Chain Assessment tells you what is happening in the joints, the tissue, and the movement patterns. Both are data-driven. Both look at the body as a system instead of a number. Run together early in a training cycle, the client gets the full picture — composition, structure, capacity — instead of one piece at a time.

Recovery layered correctly

Near-infrared red light supports the recovery work TPL is already doing — especially post-treatment tissue healing, joint capsule recovery, and the deeper-tissue repair work after a manual therapy or RX2600 session. SheThrives clients who have just been worked on at TPL use the red light at their next training visit to extend that recovery, not replace it. The two protocols compound.

Postpartum return-to-training

Postpartum is where structural work and training work have to coordinate or both fail. TPL handles the rib mechanics, the pelvic-floor coordination, and the neck/upper-back tension from carrying and feeding. Coach Tiara handles the InBody trends, the strength rebuild, and the training environment built around women. Done together, postpartum stops being "wait it out" and becomes a real training cycle.

In Tim's words

The active adults I work with do not want to manage four different practitioners. They want a training coach and a clinical team that talk to each other. Coach Tiara reads the discharge summary. I read her InBody trends. The patient stops being the messenger. That is the standard.

Who this is for

  • Active women in Oakland County who want a personal trainer, a real measurement of body composition, and a recovery stack that all come from one coach — plus a clinical partner upstream for the structural side.
  • Postpartum women building back into training and wanting the body-composition data and the women-specific coaching environment Coach Tiara provides alongside the structural rebuild TPL handles.
  • Lifters and athletes managing a chronic issue that keeps interrupting training cycles. SheThrives keeps the programming intelligent; TPL addresses the underlying cause so the cycle stops repeating.
  • TPL patients ready to train again who want a coach who reads the clinical context, looks at the InBody data, and programs accordingly.
